Day 5/6
Horseshoe Bend and Zion NP | Las Vegas

Day 1/2 | Day 3 | Day 4

We got to Vegas around 4pm and we were met by a whole lot of traffic. Getting into the parking area of our hotel was a breeze, but it took over half an hour of standing in line to check in. Luckily, our clerk was from (nearby to us) Tennessee, so she found us a recently remodeled room in a quiet area of the hotel.

The Bellagio fountains in full glory, they danced to "Luck Be a Lady."

Our dinner reservations were for 8pm at Mon Ami Gabi in Paris, but we were famished by 7pm, so we attempted to get seated earlier. There was no room on the patio, but we managed to get a table in the next room in with a view of the Bellagio fountains across the street. We enjoyed a bottle of Pinot Blanc and one of the best steaks I've ever had. Even the frites were phenomenal. Eric also enjoyed his bacon wrapped pork tenderloin.

After dinner we walked around the casino awhile and played some nickel slots. Not being big gamblers, the people watching element entertained us more than the chance to win big.

To end the night, we got a maitai from the bar downstairs in our hotel and headed up to our room. Happy and stuffed, we concluded our trip with a good nights' sleep.

A shot of The Strip from our plane as we left Las Vegas.
