Lower Cascades Falls

Location: North Carolina
Directions: This waterfall is located at the north end of Hanging Rock State Park about 2 miles north of Danbury, NC. From Danbury travel north on Hwy 8/89 to the Hanging Rock State Park entrance on the left. Just before the gate, make a right on Moore's Springs Road. After a short drive, make a left on Hall Road. Travel about 1.5 miles to a parking area on the right. The trail begins at the back of the parking lot. The trail is fairly easy to a viewing area above the falls, but if you want this shot you'll have to climb down (and back up!) some steep rocks. We pretended to be part mountain goat. This was the prettiest of the five waterfalls in this state park.
