In December 2023 we visited the Angus Barn in Raleigh for the first time. They are well known for their over-the-top holiday decor, and we enjoyed our night, so we decided to return this year. Thankfully I managed to snag us a reservation before the spots all filled up (and they changed their reservation system). Our reservation was for 9:15pm but we arrived closer to 8:30pm thinking we would get a drink and hang out but we were seated right away!
The lights start right after you turn in the driveway.
And the inside is full of lights and decorations!
Of course we also had dinner! Each steak option comes with a choice of soup or salad and choice of potato. Not to mention the bread and butter, enormous pickle plate and cheese and crackers before the main course arrives. I had picked out a few wine options in advance as the wine menu is extensive and too overwhelming to decide in the moment. We ended up with a Rhône rosé that went nicely with our meal. I got the Tuscan rubbed ribeye and Eric had the espresso filet mignon.
After dinner, our server offered to take us on a tour of the wine cellar, special event rooms, and kitchen.
Wow! We left stuffed with another enjoyable memory and a large bag of leftovers. Now I need to make sure to book us a table when reservations open up in August!
