Once we secured the correct sticker for beach parking (why does LI have to make things so complicated!?) we headed over a few times during out four week stay. This year we saw a good number of people fishing off the beach, and as usual, came home with a bunch of jingle shells.

The restricted area for plovers seems to have increased compared to previous years, so there was even less beach to walk on to the left of the parking area. Oddly, we didn’t see any plovers in that area this year either.
