As we do every year, we made multiple trips to the beach for sunset. Unlike 2021, we had quite a few good sunsets this summer! We found lots of jingle shells to add to our collection and managed to coax Pasha on a short walk once.
This year I also had the opportunity to borrow my uncle’s kayak, which I took out on Mattituck Inlet one morning. It was a beautiful, peaceful morning, with no other humans out on the water. I did see lots of birds, including a dozen osprey, herons, cormorants, ducks, geese, and also one eel checking out the kayak.
