Blackout
The final installment of the Newsflesh Trilogy was probably my most favorite book of the three. Everything comes together in this novel and like the previous books, some characters get (mostly) happy endings and others don’t make it to the last pages. This book was very hard to put down.

Ready Player One
I loved this book. Between the 80’s pop culture references and the fast-paced plot, this novel was engaging and entertaining from start to finish. It’s a quick read and the author’s writing style makes it easy to sympathize with the main character and start rooting for him very early one. Highly recommended.

Briar Rose
I read this short book in one sitting. It’s a fairy tale variation of the Sleeping Beauty story that weaves in the Holocaust and another generation trying to make sense of what happened in their family’s past. For the subject matter, the story is handled pretty lightly, but it is listed as a young adult novel, so perhaps that’s why.
