Our location in Guerneville meant that within a 25 minute drive we could be on the Pacific coast. We managed to drive out twice during our stay, and I think it was one of the most beautiful drives (in the same company as South Africa’s Chapmans Peak and Ireland’s Gap of Dunloe) we’ve experienced. Though sunny, it was definitely a very cool wind coming off the ocean, much like our Ireland trip.
A partially sheltered cove
I loved the stubbornness of both the tree and the house to exist in fairly rough conditions. But what a view!
Colorful ice plants, not quite in bloom
This was our second trip to the Northern California coast (Pt.Reyes was also beautiful) and it has certainly whetted our appetite for a longer trip up the coast in the future.
