The
reception began after cocktails and snacks out on the verandah
next to the ceremony location. Introductions were performed
by our DJ of our parents, my gram and the bridal party. Todd
was kind enough to give a beautiful toast. Jess followed with
another heartwarming toast to the happy couple!

Our
cake was decorated in a bright flower theme with lace frosting spiraling
up on one side and smooth buttercream on the other. Eric found a
special surprise waiting for him next to the cake - his very own
chocolate chip groom's cookie! |

A
room full of people were waiting for us to make our grand entrance
to begin the reception!

After
tastefully feeding each other some of our yummy wedding cake
we enjoyed our first dance to
"Honeymoon" by Everclear.

My dad and I danced to "Unforgettable" by Natalie Cole
and Nat King Cole while accompanied by our piano player friend,
Larry. Eric and his mom followed with "What a Wonderful World"
by Louis Armstrong.

And
I can't forget to mention my orange shoes! I wore them the entire
time - not just at the reception. Most people didn't notice, but
I did have quite a few inquiries and exclamations during the evening
- "Let me see your SHOES!" :) I was on my feet from
one pm until midnight and my feet didn't hurt at all!
