Our
ceremony was held indoors at the Medinah Country Club. We were
hearing on the news all week that it was supposed to rain on Saturday
- but not so much as a drop fell. It was a sunny and humid 78
degrees.

Once
we arrived at the club, I had my parents make sure the coast was
clear for me to sneak upstairs before the ceremony started. Our
friend, Jackie, was in charge of letting the girls know when everyone
was seated.

An
empty room ready to be filled with our friends and family...

Almost
time...
|
|
Our
brothers, Ryan and Neil, seated all the guests and handed out
the Playbill programs that we designed. Once we got the word -
the girls and I went downstairs to meet my dad and wait for our
cue.

The
ceremony music was played by our DJ - Jay
Frank. The ceremony opened with "Autumn" from Vivaldi's
Four Seasons. Lauren and Jessica both cried while walking down the
aisle and it took every ounce of concentration I had to stop shaking
and not cry. My father walked me down the aisle commenting "this
is easier than it looks," at the halfway point. |

I
do! |

The
ceremony itself went by very quickly. Rev. Spencer Lawrence did
a great job of making us feel comfortable the whole time. The guests
were led in a prayer by Eric's father toward the end and then it
was the kiss time! |
We
did it!

|
The
recessional song was "Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler
(from The Wedding Singer) because we wanted something a little fun
to end the experience. Plus, when Eric asked me to marry him, he
prefaced it by asking me if I wanted to grow old with him! |
Shortly
after the ceremony we were wisked away by our photographers for
our formal portraits. Jim
Postilion and Jean Kiner did a fabulous job of being unobtrusive
- not to mention very friendly. |
