Sorry for the lack of updates, our cable modem has been spotty since we moved, meaning no phone and intermittant internet access. We aren't entirely sure what the problem is, only that it has to be fixed soon. We also had a guy over for three hours on Monday night to run new cable lines upstairs since all the old ones were cut for some unknown reason. Because of this, Eric hasn't been able to set up his computer yet and we have to keep unplugging the ReplayTV everytime we want to try and make a phone call. It's ridiculous really.
However, I am proud to report that we figured out that the power to our dishwasher is run through a lightswitch after only minor head-scratching. I'm convinced this is a Southern thing since our realtor said it wasn't terribly odd and neither Eric nor I have EVER seen that before.
We are completing the walk-through of our old apartment tomorrow as we finished all the cleaning/moving last night. We were also able to give several boxes to our friends who are closing in two weeks on a place about a mile away from our new place. :)
Our plans for this weekend include furniture shopping (yippee!) and Eric is looking forward to getting his new lawnmower.
Now we just have to UN-pack everything. Ugh.

The season premiere of The Shield starts in a few, so I'll be quick... our trip to Florida was fun, I got a little sun and a few bug bites but we ate a lot of great food (thanks mom and dad!) and I even had time to shop for some work clothes at the local outlets. One of the best parts was visiting my gram, she looks great and really seems happy in her new digs.

And just for fun, here's a map of all the states Eric and I have been (or driven through), 54% of the USA. I'd like to add Oregon, Utah and Maine to our list.

We added two new movies to our recently viewed list, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Spellbound. Both were very good and highly recommended. We haven't cared for the last few Hitchcock movies we've seen, so Spellbound was a pleasant surprise.
With all the house hullabaloo I forgot to mention that I got the webmaster position for the NC pastel society! Now I just have to get the old webmaster to give up the goods, so far it's been an uphill battle.
